- After we have taken X-rays the Dentist will preform a full comprehensive exam, not just checking the health of your teeth, but also assessing the health of your gums as well as the joints of your jaw. During this exam the Dentist will preform an oral cancer screening, to keep an eye out for any areas that may show signs of Oral Cavity or Oropharyngeal Cancer. It is at this point that the Dentist will also pay close attention to any areas of concern you may have, and begin formulating a proper care plan.
